Day Twenty Six: Meredith has one of those twenty teeth smiles.

I once heard that you can distract the masses by putting up a picture of cute kids playing in leaves.

There. You are getting sleepy. Verrrrrry sleepy.

When I snap my fingers, you will forgive and forget my three day inability to post anything worth your trip.

(I'm in the collywobble phase of my headache. That might mean that it will be fully gone by Wednesday.)

In the meantime, cute kids playing in leaves.

Snap.

RzDrms--Actually, it's not Elmo, it's a red M&M guy. (Meredith has the blue version.) And thanks for the hats/kids comment!

Great picture. We had a day similar to that a couple weeks ago.

I love Meredith's patch. Did you make it? Did the doctor approve the patch on the outside of the glasses? Mare as to wear her patch for two hours a day and she *hates* it. I just bought the band-aid style ones at Walgreens. By the end of the first hours she is pulling at it, taking it off, whatever because she says it is hot and feels awful.

Is it felt? With a piece of elastic? And on the outside of the glasses was ok?

Works every time. Will cute kids stuck in a snowbank do it for my site?

Heartfull--We get our patches at Patch Pals. (Click for the link.) They slide right onto her glasses, they cover the lens on both sides, and they block peripheral vision, too. Meredith used to complain about the adhesive patches, too, but she hasn't ever complained about these. Her doctor says it's fine--as long as she doesn't lift her glasses to look around the patch.

(She patches 4-6 hours each day, and has never complained. We're lucky.)

I'm not much of a kid type of person, but that picture it so darn cute! Nothing like a pile of leaves to make you happy.

Meredith's smile made me laugh out loud, and that is an accomplishment these days. What a cutie. Oh yeah, the other one is pretty sweet, too. My nephew had to wear those patches when he was little. Love the Christmas tree bling.

Thanks so much. I can't wait to pick one out with Mare. I know she wants the Christmas Tree, but I'm going to have her get another to wear in January.

She doesn't actually mind the act of wearing a patch. It was the fact that it was uncomfortable that she complained about.

I'm going to take a printout of this to Mare's next eye dr appt so he can recommend it to other parents.

PS - Any chance Meredith goes to Dr. Cruz?

Heartfull--She sees Dr. Davitt! I think he's in the same office as Dr. Cruz! (Near St. Anthony's, right?) We LOVE Dr. Davitt. He's really great with Meredith, and really patient with all of my (often ridiculous) questions.
