You guys, I feel like I’m being totally lazy with the NaBloPoMo thing. I promise to give you more actual STUFF next Month. I promise.
Here is the breakdown of my day:
I sent the kids to school this morning.
At 9:15, I drove to school for a quick meeting.
At 9:45, I drove to school AGAIN for a quick meeting.
At 10:10, I started my freelance for the day.
At 11:45, I had lunch with friends at Flavor of India.
At 1:10, I once again pulled out the freelance.
At 4:00, the girls came home from school. I continued to work.
Dinner at 6:00. (They had sloppy joes. I had a few handfuls of peanuts. Don’t judge.)
At 8:45, I stopped the freelance for the day. And, it’s funny, because if you add up the time I was sitting at the computer, it would look like I worked for about eight hours. BUT, because of the frequent ups and downs associated with phone calls and dogs who pee and dinner preparation and talking to kids, I clocked only three hours and forty five minutes. (I use a stopwatch.) BUT, it was a productive 3.75 hours. All is well.
Good news: I received my tunic in the mail, and when I tried it on, it just seemed really BIG. So, because I’m crazy awkward and have no fashion sense, I took a photo of myself and e-mailed it to Ruche with a message that said something like, “Hey. Does this look right, or are tunics supposed to cling a bit more?” They replied with “All tunics vary in fit and style, and this particular tunic is meant to be worn loose. Personally, I think the size you have works great!” They didn’t tell me that *I* look great, but they DID say that the SIZE works great. I have chosen to take that as a compliment. The end.

Hmmm…I think I’m with you on the size issue. Looks a little…floppy? I guess the most important place to check for proper fit on that kind of cut would be across the…(OK, I just put those in again to be consistent)…((consistently annoying, perhaps??)…Uhm, front? You know, like in “the chest area”. (Oh what the heck — this is Angie!) How does it fit across your boobs, woman? Too loose there? Send it back!
Sure is a cute style though — were you happy with the fit, I’d say it suits you, but unless it makes you happy — nope!
That’s a good tunic.
It does look a little big – but you could try putting a belt with it. (why does that sound like the ‘put a bird on it’ routine?)
I like it the way it is, and also LOVE the shoes. You caused me to want to wear leggings to work today, but the skirt didn’t go with the shoes, then the other skirt didn’t go with the shirt, then then skirt was too long and I finally just threw dockers & t-shirt on. Now I’m web surfing for tunics and pullovers … damn you!
I love the way it fits–floaty and lovely…I’d like a tunic/dress like that. I’d probably wear it with a turtleneck and matching tights/leggings and I would hope to look as cute as you do–and as *slim*.
(side note: I went to the dietician on Monday who told me of my BMI number and I was not impressed or pleased; not feeling slim right now)
*You* look great…
I like it too! You need to get some big sunglasses and a floppy hat now and pretend you’re walking around Cannes.
You do look great. I know I’ve admitted to being in love with you before so maybe you’ll take this with a grain of salt. But it does look floaty and all that.
What do you do for freelance? I am on salary but it involves a lot of work at home–a stopwatch is a great idea! Maybe in some post you can explain how you do it. I realize it is probably so simple this is an idiotic request. But I can’t quite figure out how I would do it. Is it an old fashioned one?
I like how it fits.
Or maybe it’s just my tendency to shrink things so I assume if it’s too big it will be perfect after a wash.
Flavor of India – good? We tried Indian food for the first time in Uganda and fell in love but now we’re not sure where to start with Indian restaurants in the St Louis area.
I think it’s adorable. Breezy and relaxed. I love your style.
I think it looks perfect.
Adorable, plus you can wear a long sleeved t under it and it’ll probably shrink in the wash.
Oh gawd, Dear — that is seriously cute! I think the loose, floaty fit is adorable on you. Along with the leggings and those shoes, you look fabulous just the way it is.
I think you ROCK the tunic look! Especially since you did the model pose – the shoes rock too 0 DAHLING – you have AMAZING style!!!!
I think you look very pretty in it and the way you put together your outfit is PERFECT – love it!
…Yeah I love the shoes as well.
I know this is a few days late and a few dollars short, but I think it looks very cute as is.
What really matters is if you are happy with how it looks.
